Case Not Booked for Violation of the Act on the Punishment of Stalking

MEGA X distinguished and organized the factual circumstances and legal issues of the matter during the pre-booking investigation stage. We reviewed the matter with a focus on whether the conduct at issue constituted an offense under the Act on the Punishment of Stalking and whether the evidence of wrongdoing was sufficiently substantiated to warrant formal booking of the case.

In addition, we assisted in communicating the client’s apology and intent to prevent recurrence to the other party in an appropriate manner and coordinated the settlement process between the parties. We facilitated the settlement while confirming the other party’s wishes and supported the relevant procedures so that the settlement and the other party’s clear written expression of intent not to seek punishment could be duly documented.

Throughout this process, rather than focusing on detailed response strategies, we prioritized organizing the key factors necessary to assess the circumstances of the matter and whether the case should be booked, while preventing the conflict between the parties from escalating further.
