My visa expires during the departure ban. Am I now overstaying?

You should not simply let your visa lapse. Contact the immigration office before the expiry date to ask about extending your stay for the duration of the case, and keep proof of the ban and the pending case. A preventable overstay adds a separate violation on top of your criminal matter.
