Q
What's the difference between a departure order and a deportation order?
A Answer
A departure order (출국명령, Article 68) requires you to leave by a set date on your own. A deportation order (강제퇴거명령) is a forced removal and typically comes with a longer ban on re-entering Korea. Where removal cannot be avoided, a departure order is generally the less damaging outcome for your future travel.
