Q
I ordered cannabis gummies (or a vape) from abroad. Is that really smuggling?
A Answer
Yes, it can be. Bringing cannabis or cannabis-derived products into Korea — by mail, courier, or in luggage — can be charged as importing narcotics, even in small, personal-use quantities. Importing is punished more severely than simple use. Products marketed as legal CBD may still contain THC or be restricted. If customs has intercepted a parcel addressed to you, get legal advice before responding to any contact.
